I received the Ph.D. degree in Informatics Engineering from the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Spain. Also, I received a M.S. degree from the Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia. I am currently a professor of parallel computing and operating systems at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. My current research areas include bio-inspired algorithms, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and parallel computing.
